Film opening Focus group

Film opening Focus group

We asked few people questions that will help us make our film opening more successful. The focus group helped us to see peoples reaction easily and their opinion. So check it out and enjoy!

The focus group looked at a "Mission impossible Rogue"  and "Creed" film and gave us their opinion!

Evaluation on focus group:

In the focus group there was a total of six people, three boys and girls who gave us their feedback.Half of the group reacted to "Mission Impossible Rogue", while the other half reacted to "Creed".

Most of the focus group agreed that the main role has mostly been played by male characters, while the female was a princess in need of saving. They were interested in seeing a female playing the main role, while others said they preferred the stereotypical male protagonist.

Most of the focus group were interested in seeing a female as the protagonist. As a group of girls we felt that this would be something unique and interesting. However there has been a rise in females playing the lead roles in recent films, we still felt that it would break the casual stereotypes of male lead roles in action films.

They all said that fast pace musics in the film makes it more obvious that its an action film, and it builds up the tension. But they weren't really that bothered about the music, but rather the action visuals appearing.

Everyone agreed that they didn't pay attention to the credits, they preferred the credits to be at the corner of the film or at the very end.

Most prefer a cliff hanger since it grabs the viewers attention quicker. than seeing a black out then a title.

This focus group helped us see the expectation we need to reach for the audience.I was glad to see that most of the group wanted to see a female protagonist, since it was what we wanted to have in our film opening as a group.
